WHAT IS A PLAYGROUND LEADER?
Playground leaders are children from year 5 and 6 who want to encourage
and help other children to take part at dinnertime in fun activities.
WHAT DO THEY DO?
They organise games for all children to play and try to
include all age ranges from reception to Year 6. They demonstrate
how to play games and show good sportsmanship. They are role
models to other pupils.
WHAT DO OTHER CHILDREN GET OUT OF IT?
The children get to learn new games and skills. All children
that play are treated fairly and always have a go. They are
helped by the playground leaders. The non participants are
encouraged to take part in order to build confidence as well
as skill. Bust most importantly it is to ensure everyone has
a safe, happy and fun dinnertime.
