Buddies are ordinary children from Year 5 and 6.

They enjoy listening to people and helping them. They don?t judge, but are supporting and caring. They are friendly and trustworthy, but know when they need to pass a problem on to an adult. They are also called peer supporters because they work with people of the same age as themselves. In school buddies receive special training to help them work as active listeners, giving support and advice to peers who are upset or lonely. They can help with things such as friendship problems and bullying.
